Zeekr 9X: A Premium SUV Powers Hybrid Performance

Saudi Arabia :  Zeekr the premium brand of Chinese automaker Geely On March 10 announced its upcoming full-size SUV named Zeekr 9X which will be a global flagship ultra-luxury SUV equipped with the brand first of its kind super electric hybrid technology.

Zeekr plans to showcase the Zeekr 9X at the Shanghai auto show at the end of April, with deliveries of the model scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2025. This Chinese SUV will most likely find its way into the Middle East market by early 2026, which will take on the likes of Range Rover, and BMW in the high-end SUV segment.  

The Zeekr 9X will mark a key step in the company's strategic shift away from being a pure-play battery electric vehicle (BEV) model to also offering plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models It could priced around RMB 1 million yuan ($137,840), and cost around SAR 500,000 in KSA. 

From the company's teaser, the 9X looks quite aggressive with its square design and elegant hidden door handles, combining sophisticated style and a bigger cabin with great comfort. Looking at the size of the SUV, the cabin will get plenty of legroom and headroom across all rows, making it a big family SUV.

However, since Zeekr hasn’t revealed its specifications the brand is likely to leverage hybrid technology from Lynk & Co as both brands have been merged recently. We expect the SUV to get a high-performance gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, offering excellent power and efficiency.
