Here is how the latest iteration of this car behaves in the real world.

The Maserati GranTurismo is priced at AED 689,000 for 2024. 

Variants

For 2024, Maserati is offering the Granturismo in 3 variants. There is the Modena variant, followed by the Trofeo variant. And then you have the top-spec Folgore trim. 

Color Options

The first 2 variants, Modena and Trofeo, are on sale in 4 colors: Bianco Astro, Blu Modena, Verde Giada, and Nero Assoluto. And when we talk about the Trofeo trim, it has 5 colors on sale: Bianco Astro, Blu Modena, Verde Giada, Nero Assoluto, and Grigio Maratea Matte. 

Engine & Transmission

The Maserati GranTurismo is powered by a toned-down version of the twin-turbo V-6 found in the MC20 sports car. The base Modena trim, delivers a potent 483 horsepower, while the Trofeo variant bumps the power output to an impressive 542 horsepower. While the difference is apparent, both output figures work just fine. 

Both promise an even smoother yet thrilling ride, with a perfect harmony of smoothness and grunt from the Maserati V-6 that features an advanced twin-combustion design inspired by the technology behind Formula 1. If that is still not enough, the Folgore will be built as a full electric configuration, with an output of 750 horsepower from the trio of electric motors on board, this being the powertrain model of the range.

All the GranTurismo models feature an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, but a manual isn't an option. In Comfort mode, around road imperfections offered by the standard air suspension, it's pretty smooth; in Sport mode, everything's more dynamic, from tighter suspension to a more prompt steering setup and deeper note through the exhaust.

  Inside, the GranTurismo is configured as a two-door, four-seater with a 2+2 layout. It seamlessly combines luxury with performance-focused styling. Premium materials and meticulous finishes dominate the cabin, and a wealth of high-end amenities are incorporated into its design. 

• Exterior

  The GranTurismo’s exterior feels old-school and very charming. Even in 2024, enthusiasts love it! 

• Entertainment

  Maserati’s advanced, Google-based infotainment system, first seen in the Grecale, is also standard in the new GranTurismo. The main control interface is a 12.3-inch touchscreen prominently mounted on the dashboard, accompanied by a smaller 8.8-inch display below it for managing climate settings. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, enhancing connectivity on the go. 

• Comfort
  

  The GranTurismo feels supremely comfortable, especially for the segment it is in. Given its low ground clearance, it cannot afford to be super plush but it still does a great job. 

• Safety

  The GranTurismo comes equipped with several essential driver-assistance systems as standard, though more advanced features are available through an additional package priced at $8,300. To review official crash-test results, potential buyers can visit the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
  
  Notable safety features include automated emergency braking as standard, while lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control are optional extras that enhance driver security and convenience.

You can expect a mileage of around 12-13kmpl on your Granturismo. 

Best value for money

We think the base variant of the Granturismo, Modena, making 490PS is more than enough for most drivers and use cases. While the Trofeo is a bit more powerful, you don’t really feel the power difference out in the real world so the Modena is just fine.
