New wheel designs are part of the refresh, including 20-inch multispoke options and 12-spoke forged wheels reminiscent of the 1991 Avus Quattro concept. The RS Performance model introduces a new Bedford Green color and a unique matte carbon roof with "carbon camouflage" elements.
Interior Upgrades
Inside, the changes are subtler but significant. The digital gauge cluster, or Virtual Cockpit, now provides more detailed information about the EV’s battery status, including temperature, preconditioning, and real-time charging rates.
The cabin retains its overall layout but adds a new squared-off steering wheel and redesigned seats with updated patterns and illuminated logos in the seatbacks. Interior trim options include birch and carbon camouflage, with Serpentine Green stitching that complements the new Bedford Green exterior.
Performance Enhancements
Audi has introduced a new rear motor incorporating parts from its PPE platform, making it about 22 pounds lighter than the previous version. The new powertrains are not only more efficient but also more powerful.
The base e-tron GT's previous dual-motor setup with 522 horsepower has been replaced by the S trim, which now delivers 671 horsepower, surpassing the outgoing RS e-tron GT's 637 horsepower. The new RS model boasts an impressive 845 horsepower, while the top-tier RS Performance version reaches a staggering 912 horsepower with the overboost function.
Battery and Charging Improvements
The e-tron GT's battery has been optimized to be about 22 pounds lighter, with a net capacity increased from 83.7 to 97.0 kWh. This enhancement results from an optimized two-layer cooling plate.
