What features does the Aston Martin Valour get?
At first sight of the Valour, one can easily see why the whole production was sold within two weeks. An immediately obvious aspect of the car is its small size, which is the cue for a number of neat design decisions as well as clear references to classic cars of the sixties: In contrast, the idea behind the Valour is not a mere attempt to leverage the craze for issuing new vehicles based on old names: the Valour is original concept; it is as novel as an idea to propose a new model that has its touch of classic Aston Martin alongside modern design.
The material separates from the bunch due to the color scheme, with striking contrasts a direct call to attention, but there is still more to appreciate up close. The rest of the Kamm tail and the powerful, curved diffuser together give a unique rear appearance to the Aston Martin, somewhat similar to the Victor.
The sharp-edged wheel arches you get here are more archaic, and yet they are not anything that you can say has been copied from somewhere; the front lights look reminiscent of the latest Vantages but are not exactly copies. The interior also borrows from older models, which is not bad per se, but could do with a revamp in the same manner as the DBR1-inspired tweed racing seats – many will overlook this since the exterior is so striking.
How spacious is it?
The Aston Martin Valour is an ultra limited edition car that was designed for track and performance use and that is why it is not very spacious as a car.
What engine & transmission options are available?
Let’s dive into the mechanical details: The Valour carries over the twin-turbocharged V12 from before, good for 705 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque, although only slightly up from the special edition Vantage GT12 that won’t be around for 2022. What is somewhat amusing, however, is that the 0-62 mph time is the same as the prior car; this isn’t a major surprise though because while the Valour’s manual gearbox is a lot of fun, it cannot shift – at least not as promptly – like the eight-speed automatic of the prior car.
The Valour continues to be a rear-wheel drive car with a mechanical limited-slip differential, though there is a nice change in the form of a new stainless steel exhaust of 1mm wall thickness. Where this is done it not only improves the sound that comes from the exhaust pipe but also helps to shed some more weight.
Integrated into the Valour are adaptive dampers, springs, and exclusive to this model anti-roll bars. Functioning through three driving modes, Sport, Sport+, and Track, the Valour has controls on the steering wheel in which you can adjust throttle response, exhaust sound, suspension setting, and engine map.
When it comes to performance, Aston Martin claims that due to modifications such as the braced rear tower strut and strengthened fuel tank area, the Valour has 7 percent more chassis stiffness than the regular Vantage. Carbon ceramic braking is standard, which means that the stopping power is without equal.
What’s the mileage of the Aston Martin Valour?
Expect a mileage of about 8kmpl with the Aston Martin Valour.
How safe is the Aston Martin Valour?
The following are some of the safety features that are installed in the next-generation Aston Martin Valour 2024; The carbon ceramic disc brakes are characterised by their ability to deliver high levels of braking power and durability to the car, even when subjected to high levels of usage and high speeds. It also has a 360-degree camera, forward and rear radar sensors, forward-facing cameras, and ultrasonic sensors with the aim of giving the driver a complete view of what is happening around the vehicle.
How many color options are there?
You have as many as 13 color options to choose from, for the Aston Martin Valour. Jet Black, China Grey, Apex Grey, Onyx Black, Satin Onyx Black, Xenon Grey, Oberon Black, Satin Xenon Grey, Magnetic Silver, Cumberland Grey, Titanium Grey, Satin Titanium Grey, and Ultramarine Black are the paint schemes on offer.
Of these, we think the Ultramarine Black looks the most sleek and stealthy, and that’d be our pick of the lot.
Should you buy the Aston Martin Valour?
You might wonder about the Valour’s legitimacy—could it be a mere reskinned version of a slightly older car? Yet seconds after grabbing the wheel, you realize that there is so much more to this car, and as a product, Aston Martin did its best with the DBX707. It may not be for everyone and there are, undeniably, much more complicated offerings on the market today. Still, as a touch of the current game’s interior design and a rather exquisite tribute to the vintage car design, the Valour I can see is almost singular. Indeed, in many ways, it is all the better for it.
What are my alternatives?
The Valour is a limited production car; thus even its competitors are some of the best, exotic cars. The list consists of such vehicles as the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 and Koenigsegg CC850. Now, the Countach is an icon in automotive history so there are plenty of reasons to get it, the main being its monstrous, extremely powerful engine. About the Koenigsegg CC850, the production limit amounted to 70 car units. As for the number of cars built, it is even more reserved than the Aston Martin Valour.
