GT2 Stradale Design Highlights
Maserati GT2 Stradale Overview
Positioned as a bridge between the thrilling GT2 track car and the MC20 supercar, the GT2 Stradale is an evolution of Maserati’s performance engineering. Both the GT2 race car and the GT2 Stradale start on the same assembly line as the MC20, but at a certain stage, engineers take them aside, reworking the components to extract a level of power and handling that pushes the car far beyond standard supercar specifications.
The interior of the GT2 Stradale is intentionally minimalist, crafted to strike a balance between Maserati’s MC20 supercar and the GT2 race car. The design is practical, with dark surfaces chosen to cut down on glare, ensuring that the driver’s attention stays entirely on the road. The control layout is stripped down to just the essentials: a volume dial, a drive-mode selector, and two buttons—one for reverse and another for drive.
Price
The GT2 Stradale hasn’t been launched as of now and once Maserati does it, we will let you know what the GT2 has been priced at.
Variants
It is expected that the GT2 Stradale will be available in 1 variant only and that’ll be the standard one.
Color Options
Since the Maserati GT2 Stradale hasn’t been launched yet, the colors it will be offered in haven’t been officially announced.
Engine & Transmission
The GT2 Stradale packs a punch, delivering exhilarating speed with every rev. Maserati’s signature Nettuno twin-turbocharged V-6 powers the Stradale, with engineers managing to extract an extra 10 horsepower over the standard configuration.
This results in a formidable 0 to 62 mph sprint in just 2.8 seconds, a feat made even more impressive by the fact that the Stradale operates with a rear-wheel-drive layout. This power combined with the rear-wheel setup highlights Maserati’s focus on creating a supercar that doesn't just perform but also provides a purist's driving experience.
All in all, this engine is a rather enthusiast-oriented one and if you want something fast, this might just be it.
Features
Interior
The interiors are where the GTS Stradale stands out. They seem premium and something that will make you feel special. So if you are looking for something that feels just as premium as much you pay, the GTS Stradale is definitely a car you should consider.
Exterior
Performance is only one piece of the GT2 Stradale’s carefully crafted puzzle. Maserati’s engineers achieved a significant weight reduction, shedding 132 pounds compared to the standard MC20, making the Stradale even more agile and responsive.
Entertainment
The GT2 Stradale’s audio system is where the car stands out from its peers. It has an excellent speaker set and the moment you get into it, you will realize how brilliantly it is set up. Be it blasting music at high volumes or playing sweet, low-sounding melodious music, it can do both and you and your family will enjoy it thoroughly. In sum, the entertainment system in the GT2 Stradale is worth every penny.
Comfort
Given its sportiness, comfort is where the GT2 Stradale takes a bit of a back step. The car’s suspension is not plush or comfortable by any means and you and your family will be bounced around a fair bit.
The damping could have been better but again, that would compromise on the car’s handling dynamics around corners and that isn’t a sacrifice many owners would be willing to make. Hence, we think the car’s firmness is understandable.
Safety
The Maserati GT2 Stradale has all of the safety systems that one can think of. Lane warnings, multiple camera setup, connectivity, and assistance in cases of extreme emergency, the Stradale has it all and you can rely on the car in almost all cases.
Fuel Efficiency
You could very well end up with a mileage of around 5kmpl with the GT2 Stradale. And if you think that is less, yes it is. But again, the GT2 Stradale is a car made to set tracks on fire so mileage wasn’t something that was on the mind of Maserati engineers.
Best value for money
The base variant of the GT2 Stradale will be good enough for most buyers.
Alternatives
If you’re not convinced with the GT2 Stradale, its direct and arguably the only rival would be the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. If you are looking for outright excitement, the GT3 RS might be the better choice. In the long run, if asked by experts, the Porsche might just be easier and less expensive to maintain.
