Saudi-bound 2025 Audi SQ5 to Come with Fresh Face and a Powerful Engine

SAUDI ARABIA : The top-of-the-line Audi SQ5 is one of the most prolific premium SUV crossovers in its segment and the third-generation model comes with upgrades in every department.

Audi has announced the new SQ5 just recently for the UAE market and it is expected to be launched in Saudi Arabia as well. The formidable SUV has seen undeniable success over the years and the third-generation model with its sharp new design and updated interiors aims to continue that success story.

Sporty Styling

The SQ5 is a sportier iteration featuring a commanding silhouette and front face demonstrating the improved design elements as opposed to the previous versions. The car features plenty of sporty intentions, with loads of black treatment outside. A massive single-frame grille flanked by two large air inlets dominates the front.

A thin line of LEDs over the LED headlamps acts as an eyebrow. The side profile comes with slight changes from the standard Q5 with subtle sculpturing through the door panels and 20/21 inch wheels with all-season performance tyres. The rear features a combination of OLED taillights, which also warns other drivers about heavy braking, breakdowns and accidents.

High-tech Interiors

The interiors of the car are almost the same as the standard model with a few exceptions. The SQ5 boast dual MMI ‘Digital Stage’ displays with the bigger 14.5 inches in the middle for infotainment and an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit ahead of the driver acting as an instrument.

The new SQ5 comes equipped with features such as a cooling compartment that can also charge devices with 15 watts of power. Then there are aspects like four USB-C charging ports at the front and the rear, a customizable heads-up display, and an extra 10.9-inch screen for the co-passenger.

When it comes to safety, features such as assistive technologies like rear parking assistance, lane departure alert, speed limiter and cruise control bring peace of mind. The SQ5 also comes equipped with emergency brake assist, Evasion Assist, Turn Assist, Front Cross Traffic Assist, Rear Turn Assist and Park Assist Plus.

Engine and performance

Since SQ5 is a performance-oriented model, the real change lies under the hood. The car is powered by a 3.0L V6 TFSI engine that generates 367 PS and 550 Nm of peak torque paired with a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox. While the Quattro all-wheel drive system is optional in Q5, it comes as standard in the SQ5 model.

Launch Date, Pricing and Rivals

The 2025 Audi SQ5 is expected to be launched in the first half of 2025 with the price starting from US$ 90,000 (approx. SAR 340,000). The Audi SQ5 rivals the Mercedes Benz GLC and BMW X3 in its category.
