Kia unveils first look of the refreshed EV6 ahead of its global launch

SAUDI ARABIA : Three years after its debut, the Kia EV6 is set for a facelift later this month. The automaker recently unveiled the first official images, hinting at significant design changes inspired by the EV9.

The facelift represents a clear evolution for the EV6. The most noticeable updates include a bolder interpretation of the signature tiger-nose grille at the front, flanked by slim daytime running lights. The rear light bar has also been subtly revised, and the entire package is completed by a fresh alloy wheel design.

Inside, the facelifted EV6 is expected to receive a more intuitive infotainment system.  It might adopt the "triple panorama display" layout seen in the EV9, featuring a 12.3-inch central touchscreen alongside a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, similar to the current model.  An additional 5.3-inch touchscreen dedicated to climate control is also rumored.

Similar to its close relative, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the updated EV6 is expected to benefit from a larger 84 kWh battery pack. This upgrade mirrors what Hyundai implemented earlier this year for the Ioniq 5, which also saw improvements to body structure for better handling and additional sound insulation for a quieter cabin. These features from the Ioniq 5 could potentially be carried over to the facelifted EV6.

The refreshed EV6 will be unveiled first in Korea before reaching other markets.
