Ford Mustang 4-door Model Likely Coming Soon

SAUDI ARABIA : Ford is considering introducing a new line of some authentic combustion-engined Mustang variants, potentially including a four-door model for the first time in the iconic muscle car’s history. In a recent interview, Ford’s CEO Jim Farley revealed that the Mustang is now by far the world’s bestselling coupe, boasting a massive global fan base. However, he emphasized that any new variants must embody the same performance and attitude that fans have come to expect from the Mustang.

What Farley essentially said was that Ford will never really build a Mustang that doesn’t have the attitude and character of a Mustang. He specifically mentioned that they will not be making a small, two-row SUV and stick Mustang badging on it. That said, they’re quite open to new formats of the same and as he said that, he essentially hinted towards a four-door Mustang, of course as long as they pack the same performance and character as the original one.

Farley further elaborated that Ford must enhance the Mustang’s allure to expand its lineup. He noted that the company needs to cater to both traditional Mustang enthusiasts and those looking for more upscale versions of the coupe. One strategy to keep costs down while boosting performance in the more affordable models involves reducing weight, a development area that Ford is actively exploring.
