BMW Unveils Enhanced iX Series in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia : The new BMW iX series introduces three distinct models i.e. BMW iX xDrive45, BMW iX xDrive60 and BMW iX M70 xDrive featuring high performance and long range.

BMW has announced the latest iteration of its all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV), the BMW iX, now available in the Kingdom. This new edition boasts significant advancements in performance, range, and design, solidifying its position at the forefront of electric mobility. Models of the BMW iX

The new BMW iX series introduces three distinct models:

• BMW iX xDrive45: Delivers 300 kW (408 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
• BMW iX xDrive60: Offers 400 kW (544 hp) with a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds.
• BMW iX M70 xDrive: The top-tier model provides up to 485 kW (659 hp), achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

These models feature enhanced battery technology, providing ranges up to 701 kilometers (435 miles) on the WLTP cycle. The exterior and interior have been refined to emphasize a sporty yet luxurious aesthetic.

Performance and Range Enhancements

The latest BMW iX series introduces significant improvements in both performance and range. The iX xDrive45 now delivers a system output of 300 kW (408 hp), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The iX xDrive60 offers 400 kW (544 hp) with a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds. The top-tier iX M70 xDrive provides up to 485 kW (659 hp), achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

Innovations in battery cell technology and power electronics have extended the range across all models. The iX xDrive60 now achieves a WLTP range of up to 701 kilometers (435 miles), setting a new benchmark in its class. The iX xDrive45 and M70 xDrive also see significant range improvements, reaching up to 602 kilometers (374 miles) and 600 kilometers (373 miles) respectively.

Design and Exterior Features

The new BMW iX features a striking front design with a redesigned BMW kidney grille, characterized by a filigree frame and a structure of vertical and diagonal lines. The adaptive LED headlights have been updated with vertical elements for daytime running lights and turn indicators. 

The front and rear aprons boast a seamless design with a higher proportion of body-color painted surfaces, giving the vehicle a sporty, elegant appearance.

The M Sport package, now available as an option, emphasizes the dynamic character of the vehicle with powerful lines and striking air intakes at the front. The iX M70 xDrive comes standard with design features from the M Sport package, including a model-specific BMW kidney grille with M logo and exclusive 22-inch M light-alloy wheels.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the BMW iX offers a progressive luxury experience with generous space and refined sportiness. The new M multifunction seats, available in perforated microfibre/Sensatec or optional natural leather upholstery, provide enhanced lateral support and a striking design. 

The M Sport package includes an M leather steering wheel, two-tone instrument panel with M logo, and Dark Silver trim finishers.

The standard equipment includes adaptive LED headlights, Comfort Access, heated seats for driver and front passenger, heated steering wheel, Driving Assistant Plus, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound System. Optional features include the Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof, active seat ventilation, and the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System.
