BMW M4 CS with 550 Horsepower Debuts

The race-focused essence of the pristine BMW M4 CS is an instantly identifiable and appreciable vehicle for anyone’s dream outing. The 3.0-litre corps contains track performance with the six-cylinder in-line engine with M-TwinPower Turbo technology which delivers a maximum output of 405 kW/550 HP. 

The eight-speed M Steptronic transmission makes the engine’s drive torque futuristic. The M xDrive and active M differential convert exceptional power into your driving experience. This refined all-wheel-drive technology turns to an electronically handled multi-plate clutch to circulate the engine’s power smoothly between the front and rear wheels – and so maximise traction, agility and directional stability in any situation. 

To build a promising performance with exclusive character BMW ensures the extensive lightweight design in M4 CS. The parts are made from carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) is a key factor here in making it 20kg lighter. This lightweight, high-tech material is also being utilized in the bonnet, front splitter, front air intakes, exterior mirror caps, rear diffuser and Gurney-style rear spoiler. BMW sustained the lightweight design intelligence in the interior too. Undoubtedly, with the vision of reducing the weight inside the cockpit, the centre console, shift paddles on the steering wheel and interior trim components are all produced by CFRP. 

Pre-booking for M4 CS will start by the end of May and production is expected to begin in July at BMW group plant Dingolfing. The M4 CS has pre-bred performance for M-typical racing genes. It offers constant reminders of presence in everyday driving on the road and takes pleasure on the track.
