SAUDI ARABIA : The Lexus LX 700h is the largest SUV from the Japanese brand. The carmaker aims to modernise its luxury SUV for the model year 2025 and for that, it brings a range of alterations.

    The luxury SUV is set to make its debut in Saudi Arabia next year.

    Exterior Styling

    The new Lexus LX 700h Overtrail distinguishes itself with a matte gray grille, dark gray roof rails and black door handles. The bumper trim and the window also get a dark chrome finish with the muscular wheel arches painted in black. 

    The Overtail comes with a front skid plate and rolls on 18-inch wheels with 33-inch all-terrain tyres. The Lexus LX 700h will be available in special Moon Desert body paint with the Overtrail trim.

    Comfort and Safety

    The cabin of the LX 700h which is exclusively available as the Overtrail edition, comes with monolith-style upholstery combined with ash burl black trim. The front seats have been adorned with semi-aniline leather, contrasting stitching, and wooden accents that enhance its overall appeal. The car also includes all-weather floor liners.

    Lexus LX 700HThe Lexus LX 700h gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 7-inch lower touchscreen for controlling the HVAC and infotainment. The cabin also incorporates the latest technologies including the Lexus Interface system that comes with Intelligent Assistant, cloud navigation, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

    The car features oodles of comfort with goodies like a head-up display, front wireless charger, centre console cool box, USB-C ports at the front and the rear, front seats with five different massage options and a shelf system in the boot.

    The Lexus LX 700h, like other variants in the line-up, is Lexus’s Safety System+ 3.0. The system includes features like automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams and lane departure alert with steering assist, among others. The vehicle will also get automatic parking assistance in the form of Advanced Park with Remote Park which lets the vehicle steer itself into parking spots.

    Engines and Performance

    The 2025 edition of the LX 700h will get the 3.5L twin-turbo charged, V6 engine that works with a hybrid system. The combined power output of the setup is 463hp and 790 Nm torque, delivered via a 10-speed automatic transmission, which is working in the rest of the non-hybrid models. 

    Lexus LX 700HThe Overtrail has been specially designed for tackling off-roads and with features like adaptive variable suspension, active height control, front and rear locking differentials, centre differential locks, Multi-Terrain Select, Downhill Assist Control and Crawl Control, the SUV is well-equipped for various challenging terrains.

    Launch Date, Pricing and Rivals

    The Lexus 700h is expected to debut in Saudi Arabia early next year at a starting price of SAR 170,000. The Lexus LX 700h is set to compete against rivals such as the Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon AT4 Ultimate.
