SAUDI ARABIA : This is the car which we are all waiting for! Rimac has finally revealed the Nevera R, a car that many love to claim is the world’s fastest-accelerating car. It is an electric car and might set records for speed that defies any known idea of acceleration

2024 Rimac Nevera R: Price 

The Rimac Nevera R, with its highly exclusive production, carries a price tag of approximately $2.5 million, aligning it with the cost of the standard Nevera, which was introduced on August 21 with a production cap of 150 units. Despite its hefty price, the Nevera R has already started accepting pre-orders, and given that only 40 units will ever be produced, it's anticipated to be quickly snatched up by eager collectors and enthusiasts.

2024 Rimac Nevera R: Powertrain

As for power, the Nevera R outdoes the already-engaging Nevera with 2,017 horses against the standard 1,914 horses of the initial car. This is not far from the Koenigsegg Gemera hybrid which has been rated to produce 2,300 horsepower. Rimac has paid a lot of attention to developing the R’s handling and performance capabilities and has become more responsive than the GT.

Like in the regular Nevera R, the length of the battery remains 108 kWh, which promised up to 400 kilometers of range in the past. However, the Croatian manufacturer has not published its official range figures for this high-performance version.

Visually, the Nevera R takes a more streamlined approach compared to the standard model, featuring a lowered stance and a suite of aerodynamic enhancements. This design update is part of Rimac’s strategy to reignite interest in electric hypercars, especially since the company has yet to sell all 150 units of the standard Nevera, despite its three-year presence in the market. The Nevera R, limited to just 40 units, will be produced as part of the ongoing Nevera production run, adding a layer of exclusivity to the model.

2024 Rimac Nevera R: Safety Features 

For the Nevera R, there is a more enhanced all-wheel torque-vectoring system, which Hennessey has tuned to perfectly work with the new Michelin Cup 2 tires. Rimac has also recalibrated the steering rack to be more responsive and return enhanced feedback; said to trim the maximum understeer by a tenth and increase the maximum amount of grip found laterally by five percent.

From the aerodynamic point of view, the new fixed rear wing and a larger front diffuser have been added, thus increasing the maximum downforce by 15 percent and increasing the aerodynamic efficiency by 10 percent. All these improvements are intended to deliver quicker and more assured turning ability. To cater for the power boost over the Nevera, the R version also comes packing carbon-ceramic EVO2 brakes, so that the stopping power of the car rises to the occasion, as does its acceleration.
