Nissan has taken a significant step forward in the electric vehicle market with the unveiling of its latest model, the N7. This all-electric saloon, designed for the Chinese market, is the first to be built on Dongfeng Nissan’s new EV platform. With sleek styling, cutting-edge technology, and a vision for sustainable mobility, the N7 is poised to make waves in the automotive industry.  

A Platform for Innovation

The N7 is the debut model on Dongfeng Nissan’s modular electric vehicle platform, a result of the collaboration between Nissan and Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor Group. While Nissan has not yet revealed specific details about motor power or battery capacity, this platform is expected to set the foundation for future EVs in their lineup.  

Adding to its innovative appeal, the N7 comes equipped with the ‘Navigate on Autopilot’ system, developed in partnership with autonomous driving technology firm Momenta. The saloon bears similarities to the Audi A6 e-tron in terms of size and proportions, while also drawing inspiration from the Xpeng P7. Its sleek silhouette and aerodynamic build underscore Nissan’s focus on innovation and aesthetics.  

Nissan’s Vision for the Future

The N7 is part of Nissan’s broader strategy known as ‘The Arc,’ aimed at accelerating the development and export of new energy vehicles from China. This midterm plan represents a significant shift in Nissan’s approach to sustainability and global expansion.
