Ceer Signs $1.4 Billion Deals at PIF Public Sector Forum

Saudi Arabia : Saudi Arabia’s first EV brand, Ceer, has secured major agreements with local and global partners to boost its localization strategy and drive the country’s automotive sector forward.

• Ceer signed 11 new partnerships worth SAR 5.50 billion ($1.50 billion) at the PIF Public Sector Forum.

Ceer’s Expansion Through Strategic Partnerships

Saudi Arabia’s first electric vehicle brand, Ceer, has taken a significant step towards strengthening its presence in the Kingdom’s automotive sector by signing 11 new agreements at the 3rd PIF Public Sector Forum. The deals, valued at SAR 5.50 billion ($1.50 billion), emphasize Ceer’s commitment to achieving its 45% localization targets and supporting Saudi Vision 2030.

The agreements were finalized at the high-profile event, which concluded on February 13, 2025. A majority of the partnerships involve Saudi companies, underscoring Ceer’s commitment to fostering local industry growth.

Key Local and Global Partnerships

Ceer has partnered with major local suppliers to strengthen its supply chain, ensuring the production of high-quality EV components within Saudi Arabia. The MoUs signed include:

• Zamil Central Air Conditioners Co. Ltd. – HVAC system manufacturing.
• Zamil Plastic Industrial Company – Production of plastic-injected parts.
• Obeikan Glass Company – Supplying automotive glass.
• Abdul Latif Jameel Enterprises (ALJ) – Alloy wheel manufacturing.
• CTR (Global Supplier) – Localization of aluminum forged parts in Saudi Arabia.

Beyond local partnerships, Ceer has secured agreements with global industry leaders, including Foxconn, BMW, Siemens, RIMAC, Hyundai Transys, Sabelt, Schuler, and Dürr. These collaborations ensure access to advanced technologies and manufacturing expertise.

Boosting Saudi Arabia’s Automotive Sector

Ceer’s localization strategy extends beyond just manufacturing partnerships. The company is building a growing automotive ecosystem at the King Salman Automotive Cluster, where top-tier suppliers such as Lear, Forvia, Shinyoung, Benteler, JVIS, and Pirelli are localizing their operations.

Additionally, Ceer has awarded contracts worth SAR 6.60 billion to 263 Saudi companies, further driving economic growth. Notable beneficiaries include Modern Building Leaders (MBL), Nahil Computer, Bupa Arabia, Atlas Industrial Equipment, Saudi Business Machines, and Liva Insurance.

Ceer is also developing local supply agreements with:

• Saudi Controls Ltd. – Providing portable EV chargers.
• Arabian Plastic Industrial Co. (APICO) – Blow parts production.
• Saudi Aluminum Casting Company (SAC) – Aluminum casting solutions.
• First Telecom Industries (FTI) – Small stamping components.

These strategic partnerships mark a major milestone in Saudi Arabia’s push towards a sustainable and self-reliant automotive industry.
