2025 BYD Seal Defines the Future of Electric Sedans
The 2025 BYD Seal is based on the new e-Platform 3.0 Evo. This platform has also been used in the Sea Lion 07 plug-in hybrid. The vehicle features a 23,000 rpm electric motor and a 1,200V SiC control system. This enables drivers to accelerate to a speed of 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. The car can reach a top speed of 240 kmph.
Integrated with an 800V platform and CTB battery, the BYD Seal needs just 25 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. You will come across two battery options in the sedan - 80.64 kWh and 61.44 kWh, and the range varies from 510 km to 650 km.
The base model of the BYD Seal delivers around 228 hp with a rear motor. The mid-spec variant offers 308 hp, while the dual-motor AWD model produces around 523 hp. It comes with an updated chassis that features the Disus-C system for better handling, which makes rides smoother.
The inclusion of a new roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is a significant upgrade in the 2025 Seal. It strengthens features like Automated Valet Parking, urban and high-speed Navigation on Autopilot, and ADAS with L2+ DiPilot 300.
A Refined Interior with Advanced Technology
Coming to dimensions, the 2025 BYD Seal is 1460 mm high, 1875 mm wide, and 4800 mm long, and comes with a 2920 mm wheelbase. The brand has redesigned its interiors with a rotating central control screen. Other features in the interiors include a four-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, wireless charging pads, and a minimalist centre console with hidden air vents. Besides, all the models are equipped with 13 airbags and a W-HUD head-up display, which enhances safety and convenience.
