At the core of the Valiant lies a monstrous 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, capable of producing an impressive 725 horsepower. This is 30 horsepower more than the Valour, from which it is derived. Complementing this powerful engine is a bespoke 6-speed manual transmission, eschewing any option for an automatic. With 753 Nm of torque, the Valiant demands robust stopping power, which is provided by ceramic brakes that Aston Martin claims are fade-free.
A Big Weight Reduction By 100 Kg
The team at Q by Aston Martin, the brand's bespoke division, made significant efforts to reduce the Valiant’s weight by up to 100 kg compared to the Valour. This was accomplished through several innovative measures: a 3D-printed rear subframe that cuts 3 kg, a magnesium torque tube reducing mass at the car’s center by 8.6 kg, and lightweight 21-inch magnesium wheels trimming 14 kg of unsprung mass. Additionally, a motorsport-spec lithium-ion battery shaves off another 11.5 kg.
Visually, the Valiant retains much of the Valour’s aesthetic, but with notable enhancements. It features a fixed spoiler at the rear, a new aggressive diffuser, and four exhaust tips, an upgrade from the Valour's three. The rear design also includes a small storage space, a practical touch for this supercar. The Valiant is equipped with dedicated Multimatic ASV dampers, capable of adjusting each damper to one of thirty-two discrete curves in under six milliseconds.
