2025 Lucid Gravity to Storm the Luxury Electric SUV Space

SAUDI ARABIA : The new Tesla Rival is making news worldwide setting new standards for styling, luxury and performance.

The highly anticipated Lucid Gravity luxury electric SUV will be making its way into the global markets soon. The first electric SUV from the American brand features many cool things which could give it an edge in the growing SUV cum crossover space.

Exterior Styling

The SUV takes its styling cues from its sibling, the Air. The car looks minimal, sleek and smooth, yet futuristic with a raked roofline subtly tapering into the tail spoiler. Featuring a split-headlamp setup, the car boasts a quad LED DRL, a thin light bar, two grilles and vertically placed turn indicators. 

In profile, the prominent shoulder line, a chrome door sill, flush door handles and big 23-inch alloy wheels give it a sporty look. With a clamshell trunk, wide lightbar and cool-looking taillamps, the Gravity looks equally mesmerising from the rear. The SUV will be available in nine elegant colour options.

Luxury Interiors

Similar to the exteriors, the interiors of Gravity mean business with a massive 34-inch curved 6K digital screen backed by the company’s next-generation software. The second display is mounted horizontally on the dashboard providing more vehicle functions including climate control and entertainment. The car gets a 22-speaker Surreal Sound System that turns the vehicle into an auditorium.

The luxury electric SUV will be available in both two and three-row versions with the latter getting 6 and 7 seating options. Another talking point of the vehicle is deployable rear-facing seats in the boot which are only offered in cars like Range Rover and Rolls Royce Cullinan. The vehicle gets multiple interior themes with tanned Nappa leather and non-leather options. 

Other interesting aspects of the car include a new voice control system, Dream Drive Pro Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), adaptive headlights, and an updated navigation map design.

Top-notch performance

The Lucid Gravity underpins 900V architecture which also forms the base of the Air sedan. A dual-electric motor all-wheel drive setup will come as standard with the highest variant delivering up to 800hp of peak power. The claimed range provided by the powertrain is 440 miles (708 km) on a single charge while the 0-100km h sprint can be done in less than 3.5 seconds.

The most interesting aspect will be Tesla's NACS (North American Charging Standard) port which will allow access to the 15,000+ Supercharger network, enabling 200 miles (321 kms) of charging in roughly 15 minutes.

The Lucid Gravity also comes equipped with a towing capacity of 2.7 tons.

Launch Date, Pricing and Rivals

The 2025 Lucid Gravity is scheduled for an official launch later this year. The expected starting price of Lucid Gravity is around US$ 80,000 (SAR 3,00,000) and will face competition from Cadillac Lyriq, Audi Q8 e-tron, Tesla Model X and the Jaguar I-Pace.
