First launched in 2022, the Cadillac Lyric has been a hot favourite for many and is all set to don a new avatar for the model year 2025. The new version, which has been launched in the American market, is touted to be the brand’s best model and is expected to be released in the Middle Eastern market soon.
Exterior Styling
In its third model year, the Lyric remains a stylish electric vehicle with a wagon-like body and SUV-esque proportions. The car looks pretty with plenty of inherited classic cues. With its signature grille, there is a commonality one can find in its vertical LED headlights and taillights along with its edgy details.
The car rolls on 20-inch alloy wheels in the base trim, however, the Bronze, Blue and Red Accent Packages in higher trim come with 22-inch black wheels. Moving to the rear the roofline beatifically cascades downward like a wagon.
Rich Interiors
The interiors of the Cadillac Lyric lend it an upscale flair with open-pore wood on the door panels merging with metallic brightwork. The cabin is spacious with the dashboard dominated by a large 33-inch curved OLED touchscreen serving as the driver’s display and infotainment, which can be controlled by a click wheel located on the centre console.
Further, in the comfort zone, you will find aspects like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fixed glass roof, a wireless smartphone charging pad and faux leather upholstery. Higher trims add a hands-free power liftgate, active noise cancellation, a 19-speaker AKG stereo system, ventilated front seats with massage, and Cadillac’s hands-free Super Cruise driving mode among others.

Battery and range
The Lyriq gets a standard rear-wheel drive setup with a 102 kWh battery and electric motor fixed on the rear axle, a combination of which produces 340hp and 440 Nm torque. There is also a dual motor version powered by an all-wheel drive setup, offering 500 hp and 610 Nm of torque.
In the single-motor version, the battery offers an estimated drive range of up to 314 miles while the dual-motor model delivers slightly less, offering 307 miles of range. The car supports both DC fast charging and Level 2 AC charging.
Launch Date, Pricing and Rivals
The launch date of the 2025 Cadillac Lyric in Middle Eastern markets is still under wraps, however, it is expected to be released in February 2025. The starting price could be $59,990 which translates to approximately SAR 225,000. When launched, the Cadillac Lyric will be competing against the Tesla Model X, Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV and BMW iX in its category.
