The Caravan gets a strong and highly powerful 2151 cc diesel engine with power figures of 190hp and a whooping 441 Nm of torque, quite appropriate for a car of this size, and gives great power and acceleration. Then the 8-speed automatic transmission does a great job, and the combination of both makes the Carnival quite efficient and robust. While it is a luxurious car with big seating capacity, such an engine certainly makes a lot of difference. By the way, the car looks quite imposing on the road and design well designed.
