Upgraded Azera comes with two engine options. The GDi engine 3.5-litre option provides a maximum engine output of 300hp and a maximum torque of 36.6Nm. The gasoline turbo hybrid engine 1.6-litre option offers a maximum output of 180hp and maximum torque at 27Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission gearbox. 

The flagship sedan has a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) variant that adopts E-Motion Drive, which contains E-Comfort Drive mode to offer a smoother driving experience and E-Dynamic Drive to enable dynamic and stable performance during acceleration and cornering.

The all-new model is trained with the Hyundai Smart Sense system, which comprises various safety features. And these comprise Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 (FCA 1.5), Reverse Parking Collison Avoidance Assist (PCA), Blindspot View Monitor (BVM), High beam assist, Lane-keeping assist, Highway driving assistance, Intelligent cruise control for navigation and Safe Exit Assist (SEA) to alleviate driver’s stress and to provide a more comfortable driving experience.
