The Honda CR V is Honda’s legendary SUV. It has been in the market for quite a while now and it is known for its reliability, rugged design and just being a very non-nonsense, fun-to-drive car. Back in the day, it came with some legendary features and things that made it very unique in its segment, but now there are a lot more modern cars with a lot more features as well as varying capabilities, both on the road and off it. The Honda CR V is available in three variants: DX (2-wheel drive), LX (2-wheel drive), and EX (all-wheel drive). The DX is on sale for SAR 144,785, while the LX costs SAR 151,685. And finally, the top-of-the-line EX variant will set you back by SAR 175,835. 

Color Options :

Available in 7 color variants: Platinum White Pearl, Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Coffee Cherry Red. Of the lot, we feel the Coffee Cherry Red seems to be a whole lot more striking compared to the other colors that Honda offers.

Engine & Transmission :

Under the aggressive-looking front grille of the Honda CR-V is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four that makes 190 horsepower. Powering the engine in this model is a continuously variable transmission with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, which are offered only on the LX, EX, and EX-L models. The CR-V also comes with hill-descent control across the board; the system helps to regulate the speed on a steep or slippery slope when traveling at low speeds. 

While it doesn't drive sharp or inspiring, as one would experience from some of its competitors, such as the Mazda CX-50 or even the Volkswagen Tiguan, the CR-V compensates by offering a comfortable and refined drive. It is well-borne to be silky rather than The CR-V is a pragmatic take where smoothness wins out over excitement. Also, most trims of the CR-V come standard with 18-inch wheels, which add to the composed ride without sacrificing everyday usability.

Features :

The cabin of the CR-V looks very elegant, with a clean, sophisticated look that stands out.

There's a honeycomb-textured trim that stretches the width of the dash, cleverly hiding air vents and making the dashboard somewhat more streamlined.

Behind the steering wheel, there's a semi-digital instrument cluster that matches up an analog speedometer with a 7-inch display. This screen can be used to allow the driver to toggle through various menus that allow important information regarding the vehicle. Comfort is also emphasized in the newest iteration of Honda, where the front seats are specially designed to reduce fatigue in longer drives. The driving position has also been made more comfortable and ergonomic in every way, making it a rather more pleasurable drive. 

A lot of storage room up front lies accessible under the middle console between the front seats, which is handy for storing small items. Rear seatbacks also fold, and the interior has an additional 0.6 inches of rear legroom compared to the previous model, making occupants feel even more comfortable. Cargo space isn't disappointing either with the CR-V.

The primary rival for the Honda CR V would be the Nissan Rogue, a car that looks more modern and has more features to boast of as well. Then there is the Honda HR V, a car that some people might prefer over the CR V for its sheer design alone. You also have the Toyota RAV4, a car known for its extreme reliability and hardcore off-roading abilities. So if that is what you are looking for, there aren’t a lot of cars that beat the RAV4 in this segment.
