Nissan Saudi Arabia Is Soon Launching Two More SUVs

SAUDI ARABIA : The auto major has already launched the much-awaited upgrade of the Nissan Patrol SUV in the country

  • Saudi Arabia is the best market for Nissan in the entire Gulf region
  • And to capitalize on that very thing, the brand intends to launch 2 more SUVs
  • With a lot more options, the brand is looking to establish itself there

The Japanese auto giant is all geared up to introduce two SUVs in the KSA market. This comes right after Nissan launched the 2025 iteration of its popular and powerful SUV, the Patrol.

2 Nissan SUVs Incoming!

The Japanese car manufacturer Nissan is preparing for the release of two new cars of the SUV segment in Saudi Arabia. The company is building on the Kingdom’s position as the largest automobile market in the GCC and will look to push the envelope with these new additions.

Because Saudis show a penchant for SUVs and since the country plays a pivotal role in the automotive market in the Gulf region Nissan feels that it is time to offer more models that would address the needs of auto aficionados.

Why Specifically Saudi Arabia?

The decision of Nissan to concentrate on KSA can be attributed to the fact that the country belongs to the GCC and is a major market in the automotive industry. The kingdom alone accounts for slightly over 50% of the TIV of the region hence a strategic market for new vehicle launches.

To better treat the Saudi consumer's need the carmaker is working on two new SUV models, one of which should be launched in KSA first before being launched in the rest of the region. This is part and parcel of Nissan’s plan to strengthen its market standing in such a segment after the company launched the modified Nissan Patrol, a model that has been redefined and reinvented for the market in question.

Future Plans

In addition to these upcoming SUVs, Nissan is also preparing for a future aligned with Saudi Arabia’s push toward electric vehicles (EVs). The Kingdom has set ambitious goals as part of its Vision 2030 initiative, with a target to convert 30% of all vehicles in Riyadh to electric by the end of the decade.

Nissan is positioning itself to be a key player in this transition, aligning its long-term plans with the government’s vision for a more sustainable automotive industry in the region. By investing in electric vehicle technology and expanding its EV portfolio, Nissan aims to support the Kingdom’s journey toward greener transportation and energy solutions.
