Lincoln Nautilus Wins the Prestigious Motor Trend 2025 SUV of the Year Award

Motor Trend Group has announced its 2025 awards and the Lincoln Nautilus has earned the 2025 SUV of the Year. The Lincoln Nautilus competed against the likes of Rivian R1S, Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus GX 550, Hyundai Santa Fe, GMC Hummer SUV, and the Mercedes G-Wagen to win this award

What engine does the Lincoln Nautilus have?

The Lincoln Nautilus is available in 2 different engine options, a petrol-powered and a hybrid. The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol-powered engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It produces a peak output of 250 horsepower and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. 

On the other hand, the Nautilus hybrid is equipped with the same 2.0-liter engine that is linked to an eCVT (electric continuously variable transmission). This means there is an electric motor working alongside the CVT. The motor itself makes 168 horses and the powertrain produces a combined output of 310 horsepower and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.

What are the highlights of the Lincoln Nautilus?

The Motor Trend’s experts appreciated the looks, features, in cabin comfort, safety features, and interior details of the SUV. The Lincoln Nautilus has stylish and commanding looks. The front grille and the headlights make it look aggressive while the flowing lines on the sides give it an elegant touch and the connected tail lamps at the rear give it a clean look.

The crossover SUV comes with a spacious and luxurious cabin for the comfort of the driver as well as passengers. It features a big 48-inch panoramic display which impressed Motor Trend’s experts. The long 48-inch display is stretched across the dashboard and provides a range of features. It also has an 11.1-inch center stack touchscreen multimedia display that provides smartphone connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 

For driver and passenger comfort, the Lincoln Nautilus offers ventilated front seats and also offers massaging features on higher trims. The driver’s thigh cushions are independently adjustable and provide comfort on long drives. The SUV also comes with impressive safety features and has received a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
