Kia Tasman pickup truck teased with unique camouflage

SAUDI ARABIA : Kia revealed the first glimpse of their upcoming Tasman pickup truck. The image shows a bold camouflage design, hinting at its capability for tough Australian terrains. Named after the island of Tasmania, the Tasman marks Kia's debut in the mid-size pickup truck market.

In a collaborative effort with artist Richard Boyd-Dunlop, who hails from both New Zealand and Australia, the Tasman's distinctive camouflage design was created. This wrap embodies the Tasman's spirit of adventure, reflecting the theme of 'The Path Never Taken.' Boyd-Dunlop's personal experiences hitchhiking across the vast landscapes of Australia and New Zealand served as inspiration for the design, which depicts outback and coastal expeditions.Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, lauded Kia's innovation and the adventurous spirit embodied by the Tasman. The bold aesthetic of the Boyd-Dunlop variant seamlessly merges authoritative blues with fiery outback tones, emblematic of Australia's vibrant surf culture. Boyd-Dunlop's design impeccably encapsulates the essence of adventure and joy inherent in Australian culture.

Kia is bringing a new player to the field in 2025: the Tasman pickup truck. This versatile vehicle is designed for work and play, and will be available in stages across Africa, Korea, Australia, and the Middle East.
