    Exterior

The car makes an appearance on the official Honda Thai website where it shows that the company is ready to release the facelifted HR-V which is set to be launched on the 28th of November during the Thailand International Motor Expo. The automaker has unveiled some sneak peek images of the new look B-segment SUV, which was first launched in Japan.

The front part corresponds to the new trapezoidal form of a grille and receives additional chrome lining that demonstrates a more aggressive flight of outlines of the bumper. The upgraded LED headlight assists in improving the general appearance of the new model SUV to be modern The RS and Honda badges are new slimmer positions on this newly designed model.

    Engine Options

The facelifted Honda HR-V comes with a familiar proven powertrain from its pre-refresh design. In particular, matted with a naturally aspirated 1. Turbocharged 5-liter Atkinson cycle engine coupled with a starter motor generator, an e-CVT and two electric motors. This makes this hybrid system generate about a combined output of around 131 PS and 253 Nm of torque.

According to Honda, this car can consume as little as 25 litres of fuel. At 6 km/l, the car is very fuel efficient, ideal for areas with much traffic light densities and highways as well. In this configuration, the petrol engine is mostly used as a charging device and the front wheels are powered by a much larger electric motor.

A lock-up clutch system involves operation at higher speeds for direct engagement of the engine’s power to the wheels and this has been proved to enhance mechanical efficiency, particularly at highway speeds.

    Launch & Availability

Although the facelifted HR-V is slated for its grand debut in Thailand later this year, enthusiasts in the UAE may need to exercise some patience. Honda has yet to confirm a launch date for the updated model in the UAE, and it doesn’t appear likely that it will reach this market anytime soon.

While the vehicle is expected to make waves in the Thai market and potentially other regions in Asia, its arrival in the Middle East remains uncertain, leaving UAE fans to wait for further announcements.
