    After the launch in the US market in July 2024, the highly anticipated Hyundai Tucson Plug-In Hybrid SUV will soon be making its way in other markets including Saudi Arabia. The SUV gets subtle alterations outside while radical changes in the cabin.

    Exquisite Styling

    Regarding the facelift, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid features an all-new façade with a revamped grille, restyled bumpers and LED DRL. The streamlined lighting elements and decorative skid plates at the front and the back provide a touch of attractive ruggedness. The retaining of the half mirror effect arranged within the grill creates a sense of complete illumination.

    HyundaiThe new 19-inch wheels add some freshness while the cuts and creases and the overall wild appearance of the exteriors are carried over from the previous version. The rear end features restyled tail lights, which accentuate the progressive appearance even further.

    Feature-packed Interiors

    The interiors are where the majority of changes have occurred. The cabin of the new 2025 Hyundai Tucson not only cuts unnecessary clutter but also enhances the ambience. The highlight on the dashboard is a massive glass binnacle incorporating a 12.3-inch driver digital instrument panel along with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit in the centre.

    The HVAC system is now placed below that infotainment, running across the entire width of the cabin. The controls for AC are also revised with the retention of physical buttons for HVAC and rotary dials used for key functionalities. Steering is also new with redesigned ‘quad dot’ badging. 

    HyundaiThe new Hyundai Tucson is feature-loaded and future-proof with aspects like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with connected car tech, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, ventilated and powered front seats and panoramic sunroof. By choosing the N-Line trim, the buyer will also get a Bose premium sound system.

    The Tucson packs standard driver-assisted safety features including lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature.

    Engine and performance

    Powering the new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is the 1.6L turbocharged engine that works with 13.8 kWh to deliver a combined power output of 268bhp and 350Nm torque, funnelled through a 6-speed automatic gearbox with a standard all-wheel-drive system.

    In pure electric mode, the Tucson plug-in hybrid can deliver a range of up to 33 miles. The battery can be charged using a 7.2-kW onboard charger in about two hours.

    The 2025 Hyundai Tucson Plug-In Hybrid is expected to make its debut in Saudi Arabia by the end of 2024. The price in the US starts at $34,510 which is approximately 130,000 SAR. The new Hyundai Tucson plug-in Hybrid competes against the Toyota RAV4 Prime, Honda CR-V Hybrid and the Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid.
