SAUDI ARABIA  :  The Citroen Basalt is all set to soon make its global debut and right before that, Citroen has officially pulled the wraps off its production-spec version.

    Citroen Basalt: Powertrain

Buyers will have a choice between a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic. Positioned above the C3 Aircross in Citroen's lineup, the Basalt is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current 7-seater SUV.

    The Citroen Basalt is designed as an SUV coupe, characterized by a sloping roofline and short overhangs. It sports wide fenders, square wheel arches, and a muscular stance. The rear end features an integrated spoiler, a silver skid plate, and Citroen's signature taillight design. 

    Although Citroen hasn't yet released an image of the production-ready front, it is expected to include a clamshell bonnet, a silver skid plate, and the brand's distinctive X-Split DRLs with LED headlights. Color clips near the rear window and bonnet enhance the vehicle's elevated look. Dual-tone paint schemes will be available, including options like a black roof. The Basalt will also sport new wheels, distinct from those on the C3 and C3 Aircross.

    Citroen Basalt: Cabin, Comfort & Features 

    Inside, the Basalt's cabin closely mirrors that of the C3 Aircross, offering a five-seat configuration. The teaser video highlights light beige leatherette upholstery with an interesting pattern. The rear bench includes a fixed headrest in the center, a three-point seatbelt, and a foldable armrest with cup holders. 

    Citroen Basalt The Basalt will come equipped with a range of features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and wireless charging.

    Citroen Basalt: Safety Features 

    Citroen hasn’t published the details about the safety features that the Basalt will get. So more about it will be revealed after the car’s official launch.
