The New Bentley Continental GT And GTC Are Here!

SAUDI ARABIA : The cars have been unveiled in Spain and they look like the classic Continental cars we’ve seen over the years 

• They’re powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine 
• It pumps out a massive 600PS which can later be extended to a monstrous 790PS
• As for the torque, even it stands at a colossal 800Nm

Bentley has introduced the latest versions of the Continental GT and its convertible variant, the GTC. Despite being built on the same MSB platform as their predecessors, Bentley refers to these as fourth-generation models due to substantial upgrades, especially in the powertrain department.

The most significant change lies under the hood, with Bentley replacing the traditional W12 engine with a plug-in hybrid V8. The 4.0-liter V8 engine delivers 600hp and 800Nm of torque, while an electric motor integrated into the gearbox adds 190hp and 450Nm. This setup results in a combined output of 782hp and 1,000Nm of torque, distributed to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. 

Active torque vectoring is managed by the center differential and brakes, enhancing performance and handling. The new Continental GT boasts remarkable performance figures: it accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 3.2 seconds, reaches 160kph in 6.9 seconds. 

Contemporary Exterior & Features

Unveiled in Spain, the new GT retains the classic Continental silhouette but marks a significant shift in design elements. The signature twin-headlight arrangement has been replaced with singular oval units adorned with eyelash-style daytime running lights (DRLs), reminiscent of the Bentley Batur. The headlights feature an intricate diamond pattern that matches the new diamond mesh grille, now equipped with a radar dome and camera to support advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). 

The design is further enhanced by a long bonnet, flared rear fenders, and standard 22-inch wheels. Notably, the active rear spoiler has been replaced with a more pronounced flared boot lid incorporating an integrated spoiler.

Ultra Premium Interior & Equipment

Inside, the new GT continues to offer a sumptuous and high-quality cabin. Signature features such as the organ stop air conditioning vent controllers and the triple-rotating center panel remain. This unique panel allows drivers to switch between analog dials, a touchscreen, or a solid surface that matches the dashboard. 

New additions include an ADAS package with an ‘environmental awareness’ display, integrated apps like Spotify, and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2+2 seating configuration boasts diamond quilting and 'Speed' variant embroidery, with a highly customizable range of interior color options.
