Skoda Kylaq Name Unveiled: Official Launch Next Year

Skoda Kylaq: Variants & Price 

Skoda has yet to officially launch the car, so we do not have much info on the car’s variants and price. But worry not, we’ll be the first ones to tell you that the moment Skoda launches the Kylaq. 

Skoda Kylaq: Powertrain 

Powertrain choices for the Skoda Kylaq will be similar to that of Slavia and Kushaq models at least from the looks of it. It will be powered by a 1. 0-liter TSI petrol engine, a three-cylinder which produces approximately 114 bhp and 178 Nm torque. The other lovely thing about this engine is that it delivers great efficiency with great performance; in other words, this car is fun to drive and economical. Buyers will have the choice between two transmission options: a 6-speed torque converter automatic for buyers who look forward to having a relaxed drive as well as a 6-speed manual.

On the inside the Kylaq is expected to feature a nicely built cabin like what we see in the Kushaq with a 10.25-inch infotainment system with connectivity features of Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration. While Skoda has yet to fully unveil the design of the Kylaq, the teasers and spy images hint at a strong resemblance to the Kushaq. The Kylaq appears to borrow key design elements such as the alloy wheels, front fascia, and taillamps from its sibling. Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the Kylaq is expected to feature similar front doors as the Kushaq but will differentiate itself with shorter rear doors, unique fender shapes, and a higher ground clearance. This design approach suggests a vehicle that combines the robust look of an SUV with the sleek lines of a modern urban vehicle, tailored for the Indian market.
