McLaren Introduces Ayrton Senna Livery for 2024 Monaco GP

SAUDI ARABIA : To honor the legendary Formula 1 Racer Ayrton Senna, McLaren announced an exclusive livery for its F1 race car that participated in the recently-concluded Monaco Grand Prix. The McLaren Formula 1 Team drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris drove the F1 cars wrapped in vibrant green, blue, and yellow hues, symbolizing Senna’s Brazilian heritage.

Designed by McLaren Special Operations, the Ayrton Senna livery for McLaren Formula 1 race cars featured Formula 1 livery elements and hand-painted designs inspired by the helmet of Senna with the tricolor hues. This livery also featured Ayrton Senna’s dot matrix portraits and additional references.

With the Ayrton Senna livery for its Formula 1 race cars, McLaren paid tribute to the legendary F1 driver on his 30th death anniversary. The Brazilian F1 icon is fondly called ‘King of Monaco’ by his fans for his tremendous six victories at the Circuit de Monaco.

While the McLaren Formula 1 Team drivers donned Ayrton Senna-inspired overalls, the fans also had access to the merchandise on sale at the Senna x Monaco line, available at the McLaren Store. Before the race, McLaren Automotive also unveiled the McLaren Senna Sempre to honor the legacy of Ayrton Senna, who has been the most successful driver in the history of McLaren. 

The Monaco Grand Prix took place in Monte Carlo’s Circuit de Monaco from May 24-26, 2024, with Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc clinching the titular position. However, the McLaren Formula 1 drivers behind the wheel of F1 race cars with Ayrton Senna livery put up a great show. While Oscar Piastri finished second, Land Norris secured the fourth position in the Monaco Grand Prix.
