Ford Motors Files A Patent For A Futuristic Hologram Technology In Cars

SAUDI ARABIA : Ford has filed a new patent for a futuristic holographic technology, in which the car can project digital and realistic holographic images inside the car as well as outside to prevent crime and car theft.

• Ford's new patent uses holographic technology to display realistic images, like guard dogs and police officers, to prevent car theft and burglary.
• In the past, Ford has also worked on creating 3D holograms by projecting images onto misted water droplets.

Ford’s patent shows how holographic cameras could be used to create interactive images both inside and outside the vehicle. This technology could be used for things like showing virtual drive-thru menus and improving security. One example in the patent even mentions a hologram of a giant polar bear with its head appearing to stick out of the car. 

What is the use of this holographic technology in cars?

The holographic technology can be used to project digital images, like guard dogs, police officers, or just a normal man to prevent crime and theft around the car. For example, you can use this tech to project realistic holograms of patrolling police officers, guard dogs, etc. while your car is parked in the driveway, which will safeguard the car as well as protect your house from theft. Making it look like someone’s there to protect it from thieves.

Has Ford worked with hologram technology before?

It is not the first time that Ford has worked on holograms. The manufacturer has worked with holograms before as well. Earlier, the manufacturer used 3D images projected onto misted water droplets to create floating images. 

However, there is no info on it being connected to the new patent. Ford says that they file patents to protect new ideas, but that doesn't necessarily mean these ideas will be used in future products for sure, as those decisions depend on customer needs.
