SAUDI ARABIA : After the Exter, the Hyundai Inster seems to be an upgrade over the Exter 

• As for the motor options, there are two of them on offer - a 71.7kW one and an 84.5kW one 
• The battery for those motors stand at about 42kWh and 49kWh
• The torque value stands at about 147Nm for both the motors

At the 2024 Busan International Mobility Show, Hyundai Motor Company introduced the all-new Inster, a sub-compact electric vehicle set to become the company's entry-level EV for global markets. The vehicle will be available with two battery options: a standard 42 kWh unit and a long-range 49 kWh unit. Both versions feature a single motor, producing 71.7 kW for the 42 kWh model and 84.5 kW for the 49 kWh variant, with a consistent torque output of 147 Nm across both models.

The long-range model boasts a WLTP range of 355 km, while the standard model offers a range of 300 km. Equipped with a 120 kW DC fast-charger, the Inster can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes, and comes with an 11 kW on-board charger as standard. Performance-wise, the standard variant reaches a top speed of 140 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.7 seconds. The long-range variant is slightly faster, with a top speed of 150 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of 10.6 seconds.

Exteriors Strike The Chord

Design-wise, the Hyundai Inster is compact yet striking, featuring bold, modern elements. It has round LED projection headlights and circular LED DRLs positioned above the front bumper. The car's rugged aesthetic is enhanced by flared wheel arches with angular cuts and four-spoke alloys, at least on the top-spec variant. The pixel graphic turn signals and a prominent skid plate add to the futuristic and rugged appeal of the vehicle.

Practical Inside, Equipment Loaded

The interior is designed for versatility, with all seats capable of folding flat. The second-row seats can be split 50:50, and they also slide and recline. Hyundai offers heated front seats as an option, adding to the comfort and convenience. 

Inside, the Inster features a bustling dashboard, typical of Hyundai’s design, equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and a wireless charging dock. Additional interior features include 64-color ambient lighting, a digital instrument console, and a one-touch sunroof. The Inster also boasts a comprehensive ADAS system with multiple advanced features, ensuring safety and convenience for its occupants.
