BAIC set to Launch 2 New Cars at the 2024 Jeddah International Motor Show

SAUDI ARABIA : The 2024 Jeddah International Motor Show has already started and will be held for a period of five days, from October 29 to November 2, 2024.

• BAIC is set to launch two new cars in the BJ30 series and the BJ60 series
• Visitors at the Motor Show can also experience and test drive these cars in the BAIC stall
• The Jeddah International Motor Show is being held at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia

The 2024 Jeddah Motor Show is going to witness two highly-awaited launches from the Chinese manufacturer BAIC. The carmaker is expected to launch two new models: the BJ30 series and the BJ60 series.

BAIC will launch the new SUVs under the theme of “WILD TO GREEN” to promote environmentally-friendly sustainable cars with impressive off-road capabilities as both the cars come with a hybrid or mild hybrid powertrain.

What does the BAIC BJ30 offer?

The BAIC BJ30 is a five-seater crossover SUV that comes with a boxy design language, the manufacturer calls it a ‘soft off-roader’. It has modern design elements and funky graphics on the side. The aggressive front design, front and rear bumpers, thick cladding, and chunky wheels give it a rugged and powerful look. 

The BJ30 is a hybrid SUV, its powertrain combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a dual-motor setup, that makes a combined output of 404 horsepower and 685 Nm of torque. It also comes with a range of features including a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch multimedia display. It also gets an All-Terrain Control System with multiple driving modes.

What does the BAIC BJ60 offer?

The BAIC BJ60 is a full-size mild-hybrid SUV and is available in 5 or 7-seat configurations. The BJ60 features a commanding look and has LED headlight with DRLs even in the front grille making it illuminated. It comes with large 18 or 20-inch alloy wheels. It has a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with a mild hybrid motor that produces a combined output of 263 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. 

It has 9 driving modes and comes with a range of driver-aid features. It is equipped with a 10.25-inch driver display and a 12.8-inch infotainment system along with a 12+1 Harman sound system. It has a spacious interior with leather seats and also comes with a head-up display and a range of safety features.
