Avatr EV Makes its Debut in the UAE with Huawei and CATL Backing

SAUDI ARABIA : Avatr Technology, supported by CATL, Huawei, and Changan Automobile, is set to enter the Middle East market with its electric vehicles. Collaborating with UAE luxury car dealer Al Saqer Group, Avatr will open its first showroom in Shaikh Zayed Road in Dubai.

Avatr's Strategic Move to Expand its Global Presence

Avatr Technology is looking to solidify its global footprint, targeting key markets in the Middle East. It has also entered markets in Southeast Asia and Europe. The company also eyes to establish its presence in 40 countries in these regions, launching 90 authorized stores. Thus, Avatr reflects its commitment to selling electric vehicles worldwide.

Interestingly, Al Saqer is a leading luxury car dealer in the UAE, carrying a legacy of more than 40 years. This group is responsible for distributing several established brands like Rolls-Royce, BMW, and McLaren. As a part of its global expansion strategy, Avatr highlighted the role of the AL Saqer group as a partner in expanding its footprint across the automotive market in the Middle East.

Insights into Sales Performance

In May 2024, Avatr reported delivering 4,569 vehicles. This marked a Y-o-Y increase of 162.89%. Although there was a slight dip from the figures recorded in April, the company continues to focus on achieving robust growth. Between January and May 2024, it delivered as many as 24,348 vehicles. This marks a significant boost in sales compared to the performance in the previous year.

The strategic partnership of Avatr Technology in April included expansions in markets like Nepal, Singapore, and Azerbaijan. This further strengthens its profile in the global market. This strategic move corresponds with the initiative of Changan Automobile to meet its ambitious sales targets and strengthen Avatr's position as a leader in the EV market.
